Hyaluronic Acid Viscosupplementation Joint Injection (Synvisc and others)
Hyaluronic Acid Viscosupplementation Injections (Synvisc, Euflexxa, Orthovisc, Supartz, Hylagan and others) are a treatment for joint osteoarthritis. A gel-like fluid called hyaluronic acid (HA) is injected into the joint and acts as a lubricant (WD-40 for joints) to allow arthritic bones to move smoothly over each other. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally-occuring substance in the body, and people with osteoarthritis commonly have lower than normal concentrations of hyaluronic acid in their joints. Adding hyaluronic acid to an arthritic joint may help facilitate movement, reduce pain and improve functionality. |

Platelet-Rich Plasma Injection
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy uses injections of a concentration of a patient’s own platelets to accelerate the healing of injured tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints. In this way, PRP injections use each individual patient’s own healing system to improve musculoskeletal problems. |

Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate injection
(“Stem Cell Injection”) Bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC) uses stem cells that are harvested from your own bone marrow to help the body heal itself. These cells, when injected directly into an injury site, prompt a rapid and efficient restoration of the tissue, returning it to a more healthy state by stimulating the body’s natural healing response. |
